House in Fonolleres

The house sits on the outskirts of Fonolleres, overlooking the town and the Baix Empordà fields, and is conceived as an 8×21.5 m two-storey volume whose prefabricated materials, modulation and double heights evoke an agricultural building. The ground floor integrates living, dining, kitchen and a sheltered outdoor space in continuity with the garden, while the first floor organises the bedrooms around a double-height void that ensures cross ventilation. A metal structure, timber-laminated floors and a lightweight ventilated façade define the construction, complemented by galvanised steel and pine-slatted windows. The surrounding agricultural landscape extends naturally into the garden, which incorporates an orchard and fruit trees.
